The standard CornerStep rear bumper also makes it easier to access the cargo bed. For off-roading adventures, you can select the ZR2 model for added features, like Multimatic™ shocks, electronic locking differentials and off-road suspension. 

Engine Options

The Colorado offers three robust engine options to choose from. The engines can pair with either an available six-speed automatic transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine delivers 200 horsepower and 191 lb-ft of torque. For more power, you can opt for the 3.6-liter V6 engine, which achieves 308 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. 

There's also the 2.8-liter Turbo-Diesel four-cylinder engine, which reaches 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. This engine gets an EPA-estimated 30 mpg on the highway, helping you save money on gas.* With this engine, the Colorado can tow up to 7,700 pounds when properly equipped.
